Getting started
Can canine-assisted support be added to your session?
What booked clients can consider when asking to include Bella in a suitable counselling, recovery or wellbeing session.
An optional addition
If you have booked with Whole Warrior Solutions, you can ask whether canine-assisted support with Bella may be suitable for your session. It is always optional, and choosing a dog-free session will not reduce the support offered.
Bella may provide a calm point of connection within work led by your goals and Tania’s professional scope. Some people report feeling more at ease or finding it easier to engage when a calm animal is present, but experiences vary and no outcome is promised.
Where a session might happen
- Outdoors in an agreed, accessible and weather-suitable location
- In a suitable café only when privacy, dog access, sensory needs and the purpose of the session make this appropriate
- In-home for some NDIS participants or brokered Redress-related clients, subject to intake assessment, service arrangements, location, travel and availability
What we consider first
Before agreeing, we consider your preferences, allergies, fear of dogs, culture, access needs, confidentiality, the environment and Bella’s welfare. Public settings may not suit conversations involving sensitive information.
Consent is checked before and during the session. You can choose distance, decline touch, pause an interaction or change to a dog-free arrangement. Bella can also move away or finish an interaction.
How to ask
Reply to your booking communication or use the enquiry pathway to ask about adding canine-assisted support. Please do not include detailed health or trauma information in ordinary email. A request is considered individually and does not guarantee that Bella or a particular location will be available.
